The Marian Messengers

When St. John Paul II called for a New Evangelization at Port a Prince in 1983 he expressed a need for “new ardor, methods, and expression” in the Church’s evangelization efforts.  In 2002, at the Canonization mass of St. Juan Diego, St. John Paul II preached that

‘The Guadalupe Event’, as the Mexican Episcopate has pointed out, ‘meant the beginning of evangelization with a vitality that surpassed all expectations. Christ’s message, through his Mother, took up the central elements of the indigenous culture, purified them and gave them the definitive sense of salvation.’ Consequently, Guadalupe and Juan Diego have a deep ecclesial and missionary meaning and are a model of perfectly Inculturated evangelization.

Marian Messengers are the main group of the larger Marian Messengers Organization. They are made up good standing Catholics who have been formed in the charism of the Marian Messengers. This charism is based on the message of Our Lady of Guadalupe through the theological anthropology of St John Paul II. While the charism is deeply Marian, it is also deeply rooted in an active spirit of evangelization.

Marian Messengers are formed through certification courses, retreats and publications / social media to evangelize those around them through their own witness to faith based on their own theological and catechetical formation.

The Mission of the Marian Messengers is to live the message of Our Lady of Guadalupe and witness to our Lord in the Catholic Church. Our Lady of Guadalupe gives the Marian Messengers a proven track record of an effective spirituality of evangelization for our times. They are called to imitate St. Juan Diego who faithfully allowed her message to enter his heart as be became her messenger to all.

We will be beginning the first formation groups early next year.  If you are interested in joining us and learning more about being a Marian Messenger please use the Contact Us Page to get in touch!
